Things To Do...
Passing through
our river meadow is part of a three mile river walk, taking
in a variety or birds and wildlife, the Eckington bridge and
a busy lock where you can see river boats travelling south
towards Tewkesbury or North to Pershore, Evesham and further
upstream.
A climb to the
top of Bredon Hill is well worth while, with it’s famous
iron-age hill fort. Then there’s an 18 mile drive around
the hill through its quaint villages with their Tudor
cottages and golden Cotswold houses – this is an absolute
‘must do’.

Why not cut through the beautiful villages - 'The Combertons'
and Elmley Castle and head out to the well-known Broadway,
Chipping Campden and many other Cotswold Villages and small
towns.
From the top of
the Majestic Malvern Hills you can gaze out over the
Hereford, Gloucester, Shropshire, Warwick and Worcester
Shires – even catching views of the Brecons in Wales,
sharing the views so loved by Edward Elgar.
The world-famous
market town of Stratford-Upon-Avon, boyhood home of 16th
Century playwright William Shakespeare and Stratford’s
Memorial Theatre are just 26 miles away, with Anne
Hathaway’s Cottage close by.
Shopping
The Cathedral Cities of Worcester, Gloucester and the Spa
Town of Cheltenham are all within easy reach. Nearer to
home are Georgian Pershore (4 miles) and Tudor Tewkesbury (7
miles) each have their own historic Abbey. Evesham (11
miles) has a beautiful Avonside waterfront and is a market
town famed for its Vale of Evesham produce.
The village has
two lovely Inns serving food. The Bell has recently been
refurbished to a high standard while the Anchor offers good
wholesome food. There is a general store for groceries,
newspapers etc and our Norman Church, all within five
minutes walking from our Farm.
Fishing
The River Avon provides excellent course fishing from mid
June to March and is well managed by our local angling club
who are happy to share this part of the river with our
guests - please ask for further information.
